Development
Colson Fellows Program – July 2023-May 2024
In the Spring of 2019 I graduated with double honors with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and a double minor in Web Development and Christian Worldview & Apologetics.
With a passion for web design my style is clean and conceptual, bringing to light the main point clearly. I’m not afraid of bold color choices or interesting typography. I enjoy incorporating layouts that will invite the viewer in and encourage them to stay awhile.
With a well developed knowledge of color, typography and layout I am able to extend my designs to many different industries. I look forward to using my designs to illuminate the future.
Noteworthy Accomplishments
Outstanding Graphic Design Student of the Year (’18-’19)
At Charleston Southern University, one student is selected at the end of the school year from each major as the “Outstanding Student” for that department. I had the honor of being awarded the “Outstanding Graphic Design Student of the Year” for the 2018-2019 school year.
Alpha Chi National Honor Society
In Spring of 2018, I was invited and inducted into the Charleston Southern University chapter of Alpha Chi, a national level honor society recognizing the top ten percent of all juniors, seniors, and grad students at participating universities.
Indigo Design Newsletter
I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with my professor and a team of students on Indigo, Charleston Southern’s annual graphic design department newsletter, for the last three years. I also was featured as a design student during the 2017 and 2018 editions.
2017 Spring Symposium
In Spring of 2017, I was selected by my professor to present a couple of my projects at Charleston Southern’s Spring Symposium, where students of various disciplines come together to highlight work in their field. I presented two honors projects, one being a series of music posters that I designed for Needtobreathe and the other a logo for a local construction company.
sure their client is completely satisfied with the final project. Last year, I came to her in hopes that she
could create something similar to her Doors to Freedom – Typographic Brochure…with a slight twist. This
brochure was going to be used as a party favor for my 21 st Birthday, and the topic happened to be
“Impractical Jokers”/ The Tenderloins! While she was unfamiliar with the show and guys, she was more
than willing to take on the project! She made sure to show me her progress step by step as we went
back and forth between photos, text and the overall layout. Aside from the project itself, she also gave
me information on printing locations and the ideal sizing for the brochure that would be most
convenient for me since I had to print 50+ of these. Brittany is devoted, caring, hard-working, and
extremely detailed. I absolutely recommend working with Brittany as she’s extremely easy-going and
delightful to work with. If I need any type of design again…I know I can count on her!
