Acton Institute

I designed several promo pieces for the Acton Institute to display during their annual four-day Acton University conference, a large corporate event boasting of 1000+ international participants in Grand Rapids, MI. Shown directly above is a flyer promoting two city-based Free and Virtuous Society (FAVS) events and PowerPoint slides used during the conference’s evening sessions. I also designed a website mockup for a Markets & Morality event.
The biggest challenge with these items came with staying on brand for Acton. Their brand colors are a bright, harsh red, along with gray and black. It was difficult staying within brand guidelines without the work appearing too harsh on the eyes of the viewer, but I overcame this by focusing on simplistic designs, clear and bold type, and making sure all pieces shared unity in these elements.
